Tropi-Ties Swimwear Sponsors the Miss Latina Pageants

Tropi-Ties Swimwear sponsored the Miss Latina USA, Miss Teen Latina and Miss Latina World pageants at the recent gala, in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV July 15, 2004 -- June 30- July 2, 2004 Tropi-Ties, Inc., makers of Tropi-Ties Swimwear, http://www.tropi-ties.com, participated and sponsored the Miss Latina World, Miss Latina USA and the Miss Teen Latina pageants, recently held at Ballys in Las Vegas. The contestants in the pageants showed off their figures and talents, while wearing swimwear and dresses provided by Tropi-Ties. The president and founder of Tropi-Ties, Inc., Cindy Alpers, also acted as a judge and chair of the event.

Latina women from around the world, including contestants from Puerto Rico, Italy, Iran, Mexico, as well as the U.S., participated in the events. During the two days of events, the new, reigning, Miss Latina World, Miss Latina USA and a Miss Teen Latina were crowned.

The Miss Latina World contestants kicked off the show, as the girls danced out in colorful, tropical swirl dresses, provided by Tropi-Ties. The dresses had all been cleverly altered and recreated to the individuals style and taste. Some were frayed and fringed, while others were cut into sassy minis.

Tropi-Ties swimwear was worn in all of the Miss Latina pageants. The participants sported various swimsuit styles from Tropi-Ties 2003 and 2004 collections, including the Sidewinder Bikini, the Serena Deep-V Halter One Piece and the High Strung One-Piece Swimsuit. Turquoise was the major color, coordinating with the tropical theme.

I was very impressed with all of the contestants. They worked really hard to put this show on and participate in the competition. They all had a great deal of poise, were smart, and not to mention absolutely beautiful. I was amazed at how wonderful they all looked in our swimsuits!- Cindy Alpers

The Miss Latina pageants, http://misslatina.com, were created and are currently produced by Dawn Ramos, Dawn Ramos Productions. Ms. Ramos, a Latina herself, found that there were no pageants for Latina women, so she organized one herself. The Miss Latina Pageants have grown to become one of the most widely recognized pageants for young women.

Ms. Alpers hopes that Tropi-Ties will continue to support the Miss Latina USA, Miss Teen Latina and Miss Latina World pageants in the future by providing Tropi-Ties products for the pageants. Tropi-Ties has also participated in the Miss Latina New York Pageants for the last two years and will continue to do so.

I feel that these pageants are very important for the Latina girls. They bring a sense of pride to themselves and their community and are able to show, through these pageants, just how talented and lovely they are.- Cindy Alpers
